It was just too easy getting this "For the Kids" showcase together -- so many amazing things for babies and bigger children in the pages of Felt.
Enjoy.

Felt like Friday....er, Saturday
Arg, I've missed a day in my Blogtoberfest quest. In lieu of time in front of the computer yesterday, my husband and I enjoyed an "in-house" date night following the Nelson Masked Parade. It was well worth it....Imagine, a whole conversation, uninterrupted! So, I'll cheat a bit and squeeze in an extra post over the weekend -- here's the first: a lovely "Freshen-Up" Felt showcase - - items that feel like spring to me.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

Felt....like thinking ahead.
Okay, I know that some people begin their holiday planning in June, but for me late September is way way ahead of my usual schedule (I've always derived a certain frenetic pleasure in buying gifts mainly in the few days just before Christmas.) At any rate, my goals for this holiday season are:
1. To make most of my gifts.
2. Those which I don't make will be handmade by others.
3. And those which aren't "gifts" in the tangible sense will be donations to charities.
Certainly making gifts requires a bit of planning and time. Perhaps it's time to put holiday frenzy aside and embrace a bit of grace and organization. Time then, also to begin to look for items in category two.
I've been trolling the depths of Felt, finding heaps of desirables -- so many, that the pressure is certainly off should I get too busy to make as many gifts as I'd like. This showcase is a combination of things I'd like to get others and a wishlist for myself (ahem, significant other - feel free to take note!)

Felt like Friday
It's been a while since I had the pleasure of browsing my fellow Felters -- and a true pleasure it is! As always, I am amazed by the array of talent harbored by the New Zealand craft world. My theme for this showcase: just a little peek into my fantasy shopping habit. Do you ever do this? Sometimes I check out big online shops and load every little thing I fancy into my cart. Of course, I never actually click "purchase" -- hence all of the fun, none of the guilt (or debt.) When I fantasy shop on Felt, I simply put everything into my "Favorites" or my "Wishlist" baskets (I don't actually load up my cart because I fear it might interfere with some other lucky shopper's purchase.) For this showcase I transferred a few of my most favorite-favorite things over to share with all of you. My showcase this week features fabulous items from PBS Homemades, Honey Design, Mum of Twins, Plan-B, Jacolily, Bean Bags, Cool Crib, Honey n Spice, Moki Designs, The Busy Finch, Leaf, and Nezumi. Enjoy!

Baby, It's Cold Outside
It's been too long since my last Felt....Like Something Different showcase -- especially considering all of the amazing wintery items I've seen listed recently. I've been building this showcase up for a few weeks -- every time I browse I see something new that I add to my "favorites" list. This showcase features a few of the very talented crafters who focus on apparel for kids and babies.
** If you like what you see here, please also check out the beautiful blogs of Piou Piou Kids, and Imba. I'm not sure if the other crafters featured here have blogs (If I'm missing some, please let me know!) but these two blogs are always on my reading list.
